私は、八重山の風土の中で制作を続ける表現者です。

自然や土地、人の営みの中に漂う「まどろみ」や、言葉になる以前の感覚を、絵や場づくりとして立ち上げています。

技術や完成度以上に大切にしているのは、そこに生命力が宿っているかどうか。

八重山の言葉で「タノール」と呼ばれる、経験や理屈を超えた気配のようなものを、静かにすくい取ることを制作の軸としています。

私の作品は、強い主張や分かりやすいメッセージを持ちません。

見る人それぞれの時間や記憶、身体感覚にそっと触れ、思考が少し緩むような余白を残すことを意図しています。

絵画、展示空間、ワークショップを通して、

「理解する」よりも「立ち止まる」こと、

「答えを得る」よりも「感覚がひらく」ことを大切にしています。

I am an artist based in the Yaeyama Islands, working within the rhythms of its land and climate.

Through painting and the creation of spaces, I give form to states of madoromi—those subtle sensations that exist before they become language.

What matters most in my practice is not technique or refinement, but whether a sense of vitality is truly present.

I work with tanōru, a Yaeyama word that refers to a presence beyond skill, experience, or reason—something closer to a living pulse.

My works do not insist on meaning, nor do they deliver clear messages.

Instead, they remain open, allowing each viewer’s time, memory, and bodily perception to quietly surface.

Through painting, exhibitions, and workshops, I seek not understanding, but pause;

not answers, but moments in which perception gently loosens and expands.
